The Universal Group of Companies, Inc. was originally founded in 1975. The Machine Tool Division of Universal was created in 1980 to specialize in servicing the nut manufacturing industry.

Our Company offers expertise in high speed bent shank tapping applications and we also carry the largest inventory in North America  of special  taps used by the nut manufacturing industry.

Achievements:
Many of the present nib tap designs being used in the nut manufacturing industry today have been engineered and developed by Sakai Threading Tool Co., Ltd. and The Universal Group’s Machine Tool Division.
